I-Team.tv, the New York Center for Investigative Reporting, is the area’s only nonprofit investigative journalism center with an emphasis on broadcasting.

We are a small, efficient, well-honored group of veteran New York journalists, with over 100 local and national Emmy Awards and other accolades among us. We support our media partners by producing exclusive, in-depth, responsible stories in the public interest, that others lack the time and/or resources to produce themselves.

Our goal is to fill the void left by the loss of over one-third of the area’s journalists, and make sure important stories do not go untold. And to fill the void between what people want from their local media and what they get.

By doing this and leveraging new story-telling techniques, we are part of a revolution in journalism sweeping the United States, evident by our partners in the Investigative News Network.

Our mission includes creating content for television and video platforms for other non-profit news organizations both in and out of INN that seek to have their print and web-based stories produced from start to finish for video distribution. We also use our center for broadcast excellence as a journalism laboratory to educate the next generation of investigative reporters.
